"Linda Treise, CPA is simply the best accountant that I have ever worked with (and I used to personally work at a large international accounting firm). Accurate, informed, pleasant to work with, charges less than I expect (oops maybe I should not write this part) and timely - simply the best."

FAQ

Common Questions

Don’t see your question? Call our office and a team member will point you in the right direction.

What documents should I bring to my appointment?

Bring your ID, last year’s tax return, and any W-2s or 1099s you received. If you own rental property or a business, bring income and expense records too. We’ll tell you if we need anything else once we see your situation.

Cost depends on how many forms your return needs. A simple W-2 return costs less than a return with rental income, a business, or investments. We quote your price before we start, so you won’t get a surprise bill.

Tax preparation files last year’s return correctly. Tax planning looks ahead and finds ways to lower what you’ll owe next year, like adjusting withholdings or timing a retirement contribution.

Yes. We can prepare late returns and walk you through your options for any penalties. Filing something is almost always better than filing nothing, even if it’s late.

Most clients upload documents through our secure portal and never visit in person. If you’d rather sit down with a CPA face to face, we’re happy to schedule that instead.

Yes. We prepare returns for freelancers, rideshare drivers, contractors, and online sellers. We also help set up quarterly estimated payments so tax time doesn’t catch you off guard.

Most individual and business returns are due April 15. Extensions push individual returns to October 15 and partnership or S corp returns to September 15. Florida has no state income tax, but sales tax and other filings follow their own schedules.
