SBA Issues Fact Sheet About Hurricane Ian Assistance

Homeowners, renters, and businesses located in disaster areas may qualify for low-interest, long-term disaster relief loans for losses not fully covered by insurance or other means. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) offers affordable financial help to businesses and private non-profit organizations in declared disaster areas. The SBA has recently issued a fact sheet about the assistance available to those affected by Hurricane Ian.

Remember that homeowners or renters who want to apply for SBA assistance, must first apply with FEMA. You may apply to FEMA on DisasterAssistance.gov or by phone via FEMA Disaster Assistance Helpline:

  • 1-800-621-3362 (711 available)
  • If you use a video relay service, captioned phone, or other communication service, give FEMA the number for that service.
